Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Day 3: Akshay Kumar Sets Franchise Record With Rs 53.5 Crore Weekend
Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s latest courtroom comedy Jolly LLB 3 is off to a flying start at the box office. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film recorded the biggest opening weekend in the franchise’s history, collecting a massive Rs 53.5 crore nett in just three days across India.
The film opened strong on Friday with Rs 12.5 crore, saw impressive growth on Saturday with Rs 20 crore, and maintained momentum on Sunday, adding another Rs 21 crore. This performance pushed its three-day total to Rs 53.5 crore, surpassing the franchise’s previous records and setting a new benchmark.
The first film in the series, Jolly LLB (2013), starring Arshad Warsi, had a modest but impactful opening weekend at Rs 12.35 crore, eventually becoming a sleeper hit with a lifetime total of Rs 32.43 crore. Jolly LLB 2 (2019), led by Akshay Kumar, raised the bar with a Rs 50.47 crore opening weekend and went on to gross Rs 117 crore nett in its full run. Jolly LLB 3 has already overtaken both films in terms of opening weekend performance, signaling strong audience interest and positive word-of-mouth.
While the weekend numbers are impressive, the real test for Jolly LLB 3 begins with the weekday collections. A solid Monday hold will be crucial to determine whether the film can sustain its momentum and potentially emerge as the highest-grossing entry in the franchise. With favorable reviews and strong audience support, trade analysts are optimistic that the film has a good chance of crossing Jolly LLB 2’s lifetime earnings.
Alongside Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, the film also features Gajraj Rao, Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, and Amrita Rao in pivotal roles. With its humor, drama, and courtroom clashes, Jolly LLB 3 has successfully captured the attention of moviegoers, making it one of the most talked-about Bollywood releases of 2025.
