Siddu Jonnalagadda’s Kohinoor Shelved Before Release of Telusu Kada
In a surprising development, actor Siddu Jonnalagadda’s ambitious project Kohinoor has reportedly been shelved. The film, a two-part devotional thriller, was set to be directed by Ravikanth Perepu and produced by Sithara Entertainments, generating decent buzz with its intriguing concept poster and genre blend.
After the phenomenal success of the Tillu franchise, Siddu has become a sought-after name, though his post-Tillu venture Jack didn’t live up to expectations. However, his most recent release, Telusu Kada, released during the Diwali weekend, has earned decent reviews and box office returns, showing that Siddu’s star power is still intact.
Kohinoor was in pre-production for a significant time, with work going on behind the scenes. But according to insider reports, planning and financial complications led to the project's cancellation. What’s more interesting is that the decision to shelve the film was made even before Telusu Kada hit the screens.
Despite this setback, Siddu is not slowing down. He is set to reunite with Ravikanth Perepu for a stylish new film titled Badass, which is also being bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments. Additionally, fans can look forward to Tillu Cube, the much-awaited continuation of his popular DJ Tillu comedy franchise.
