Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is one of the most awaited sequels in South Indian cinema. Following the phenomenal success of the first installment which grossed over ₹600 crores worldwide expectations for the sequel are sky-high. Trade experts predict that Jailer 2 could be the film to finally cross the ₹1000-crore mark for Kollywood. Directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar and produced on a grand scale, the movie is designed to appeal not only to South audiences but also to pan-Indian viewers.

Adding to the excitement, reports confirm that Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has joined the ensemble cast. Known for her versatile and powerful performances, Vidya will play a key role that marks her full-fledged Tamil debut.
