Prabhas's The Raja Saab Confirms January 9 Release, Makers Dismiss Delay Rumours
The team behind the highly anticipated film The Raja Saab has officially quashed recent rumours about a delay in its release. Despite speculation suggesting the film’s release might be postponed, the makers confirmed that The Raja Saab will hit theatres worldwide on January 9, 2026 as originally planned. In a statement shared on social media, the producers assured fans that the film’s production is progressing smoothly, with all departments working in perfect sync to ensure that the movie reaches audiences in its most spectacular form. They emphasized that the visual effects and post-production work are on track, and preparations for the film’s grand release are ongoing without any setbacks.
Producer TG Vishwa Prasad also addressed the fans’ concerns directly, stating that the film's first single will be released on November 5, 2025, followed by the release of a second trailer closer to the film’s launch. He expressed confidence that The Raja Saab will deliver an unforgettable cinematic experience, highlighting the passion and effort poured into every aspect of its creation. The film’s promotional materials will soon be rolled out, building excitement as Sankranthi 2026 approaches, traditionally a prime period for major film releases in India.
The Raja Saab stars Prabhas in dual roles, with Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar as the female leads. The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, and Zarina Wahab. Directed by Maruthi and composed by SS Thaman, the film’s trailer, released in September, teases an intriguing mix of horror, suspense, and drama. Prabhas’s character is introduced in a hypnotist’s office, grappling with unsettling visions and a haunted mansion, setting the stage for a thrilling cinematic journey. Fans eagerly await the January release of The Raja Saab, a film expected to make a major impact at the box office during the Sankranthi festival season.
