Bollywood actor and reality show judge, Archana Puran Singh, recently shared a troubling experience in a vlog, revealing that she and her family were victims of a scam during their holiday in Dubai. The actor, who currently appears on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, opened up about the incident where she and her family purchased tickets for a ride at iFly Dubai, an indoor skydiving experience. However, when they arrived at the venue, they were shocked to find that their booking had never been received by the company.

According to Archana, the teller at the iFly Dubai counter informed them that there were no bookings in their name, leading to the revelation that they had been scammed. She explained that the website where they had made their payment was not affiliated with iFly Dubai. In the vlog, Archana expressed her disbelief, saying, "We had booked three slots, but this lady is saying that we have no booking. We have been scammed because the website where we made the payment is not theirs. We have been scammed in Dubai. We have already paid, and the tickets are not cheap... Dubai mein hamare paise doob gaye."

Her husband, actor-filmmaker Parmeet Sethi, expressed his shock, stating, "Thousands of rupees are gone," while humorously adding, "What if it turns out that this is also a scam?" The Sethi family had paid for the tickets on the fraudulent site, but after realizing the scam, Parmeet paid again in cash for legitimate tickets.

In a further revelation, Aaryamann Sethi, Archana's son, mentioned that the booking process felt off when the site switched their selected four-minute package to a two-minute one, which he initially thought was a technical glitch. He also noted that the website offered a "Ramadan discount," even though the month of Ramadan had already ended. This raised further suspicions about the authenticity of the booking platform.

While Archana did not disclose the exact amount of money they lost in the scam, her vlog offers a detailed account of their experience, cautioning others about potential fraud in Dubai, a city known for its strict laws and regulations. The Sethi family's ordeal highlights the importance of vigilance when making online payments, especially in unfamiliar destinations. Despite this setback, Archana and her family managed to enjoy their Dubai holiday after securing legitimate tickets. However, the experience left them stunned, and they hope their story serves as a cautionary tale for others.
