Shiamak Davar Joins Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana To Choreograph Ranbir Kapoor’s Epic Performance
Celebrated choreographer Shiamak Davar has officially joined Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious two-part film Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash. Known for revolutionizing Bollywood dance with his innovative jazz and contemporary choreography, Shiamak’s inclusion adds a new dimension to the grand mythological epic. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, the veteran choreographer confirmed his involvement, stating, “Abhi yeh jo naya film kar raha hun woh ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’ nahi hai, woh ‘Ramayana’ hai. So let’s wait and see what happens.” Davar further shared that this project is “very different,” emphasizing that the uniqueness of the film’s vision is what drew him to take part.
At 64, Shiamak continues to bring unmatched passion and creativity to Indian cinema. Having choreographed unforgettable songs in films like Taal, Dhoom 2, Bunty Aur Babli, and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, he remains one of Bollywood’s most respected figures in dance direction. Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is being produced as a two-part magnum opus. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. Supported by a stellar cast that includes Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey in crucial roles, the movie aims to reimagine the ancient epic through a contemporary lens while staying true to its spiritual essence.
