Ariana Grande Joins the Fockers Franchise in Focker-In-Law Trailer
The long-awaited trailer for Focker-In-Law has finally been released, bringing back the beloved characters from the Meet the Parents franchise. Over two decades after Greg Focker (played by Ben Stiller) first faced off with his overprotective father-in-law, Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro), the tables have turned in this new installment. Greg, now a father-in-law himself, faces his own set of challenges as he must approve of his son’s fiancée, played by singer-actress Ariana Grande.
The trailer, revealed at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, promises the same humor and awkward family dynamics that made the Fockers series a worldwide hit. Ariana Grande joins the ensemble as Olivia Jones, a former FBI hostage negotiator who must win over Greg and Jack to prove she’s the ideal partner for Greg’s son. The new film brings back the iconic cast members, including Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo, alongside new additions like Skyler Gisondo and Beanie Feldstein.
In the trailer, Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro humorously discussed the film at CinemaCon, where Stiller joked about the 15-year gap between Little Fockers (2010) and Focker-In-Law. De Niro responded with his characteristic wit, praising Ariana’s talents and even throwing a playful jab at Stiller's age and comparison to him in the franchise.
Focker-In-Law, written and directed by John Hamburg, is set to release on November 25, 2026, just in time for Thanksgiving. This film marks the fourth installment in the Focker series, following the success of Meet the Parents (2000), Meet the Fockers (2004), and Little Fockers (2010), which collectively grossed over $1.13 billion worldwide. Fans can expect plenty of laughs, family antics, and the classic humor that has made this franchise a fan favorite for over two decades.
