Prabhas to Begin Shooting for Spirit by November End, Confirms Sandeep Reddy Vanga
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has confirmed that his highly anticipated film Spirit, starring Prabhas, will begin principal photography by the end of November. The announcement settles months of speculation among fans and media about the project’s timeline. Reportedly, Prabhas is deeply preparing to portray an IPS officer, having even undergone a look test and a physical transformation to suit his character. A photo‑shoot is expected soon to finalize his hairstyle and costume for the cop role. Meanwhile, an audio teaser released in five Indian languages has already given audiences a glimpse into the film’s intensity: it features a jailer discussing an ex‑cop in remand, and concludes with Prabhas’s voice declaring, “Sir, since childhood, I have one bad habit.”
Vanga also cleared up circulating rumours about casting. Contrary to earlier reports, megastar Chiranjeevi will not play Prabhas’s father or appear in Spirit, as confirmed by the director himself during a media interaction at a pre‑release event of the Telugu film Jigris. On the antagonist front, speculation about South Korean star Don Lee remains unconfirmed: Vanga neither denied nor affirmed his involvement, leaving fans eagerly awaiting official word. The female lead has been locked as Triptii Dimri, whose casting has generated excitement, especially given Vanga’s track record of working with strong performers.
With filming set to kick off this month, Spirit is gearing up to become one of the most talked‑about films. Prabhas’s transformation into an IPS officer, combined with Vanga’s signature direction, promises a taut, high‑stakes thriller. As the team finalizes its cast and look, industry watchers and fans alike are watching closely for further updates on Spirit.
