Globetrotter Event Unveils Varanasi: Rajamouli Reveals Mahesh Babu And Priyanka Chopra’s Epic

The Globetrotter event at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad turned into a massive celebration as director SS Rajamouli finally revealed the title and first glimpse of his much-awaited epic, now officially called Varanasi. Fans across the country tuned in to the live-stream on JioHotstar, making it one of the most talked-about cinematic events of the year. The presence of Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran amplified the excitement, with audiences eager to see what Rajamouli had crafted after the global success of RRR.

The crowd erupted when the motion poster featuring Mahesh Babu was displayed. Holding a trishul and riding an ox, his powerful look as Rudhra set the tone for the film’s grand scale. The title reveal happened on a massive 130 ft by 100 ft screen, marking a first-of-its-kind showcase in India. Rajamouli attended the event with his wife, Rama, while Namrata Shirodkar and Sitara represented Mahesh Babu’s family. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Supriya Menon also made an appearance, receiving thunderous applause from fans.

Rajamouli later introduced Mahesh Babu’s character, presenting him as Rudhra, a fierce and compelling persona that instantly became a trending topic online. Priyanka Chopra’s return to Indian cinema created additional buzz, with her character Mandakini earning widespread attention as fans declared the Desi girl is back.

Varanasi is shaping up to be one of Rajamouli’s most ambitious films, blending mythology, global exploration themes, and intense character-driven storytelling. The movie is said to take inspiration from African adventure concepts, adding a fresh narrative layer to Telugu cinema. Earlier, Rajamouli had already generated excitement by releasing Mahesh Babu’s rugged first-look poster on his 50th birthday, followed by the reveal of Prithviraj’s villainous character Kumbha. The event reinforced that Varanasi is not just a film but a cinematic universe in the making, with advanced visuals, new technology, and a massive cast.

With its stunning first glimpse, powerful characters, and Rajamouli’s signature storytelling scale, Varanasi has set the stage for one of the biggest releases in Indian cinema. Fans now eagerly await further updates, convinced that the team has created something extraordinary.
