After actively exploring a straight Telugu project for several months, he has now officially finalized his next film. Director Kalyan Shankar recently narrated a script that immediately impressed Karthi, and the actor agreed to come on board without delay. This collaboration is generating good anticipation as the director's storytelling style aligns well with Karthi’s versatility.

The upcoming film will be produced by Sithara Entertainments, one of the leading production houses in Tollywood. The makers plan to begin shooting next year once Karthi completes his current commitments. A formal announcement is expected early next year, marking Karthi’s strong entry into Telugu cinema with a dedicated project. Meanwhile, the actor has wrapped up Vaa Vaathiyar, set to release in Telugu as Annagaru Vostaru this December. After this, he will shift focus to the much-awaited Khaithi 2, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, making 2026 a packed year for the star.
