Vijay’s Jana Nayagan Eyes Massive 500 Cr Target Ahead Of Sankranthi Release

Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan is gearing up for a grand Sankranthi release next year, and the trade circles are stunned by the film’s record-breaking business projections. Considered to be Vijay’s last film before he steps away from cinema, the emotional buzz around the project has elevated its commercial value tremendously. The film must collect an estimated 500 crore rupees worldwide to reach breakeven, one of the highest targets ever for a Tamil release. Despite mixed reviews for his recent films, Vijay’s market has remained untouched, with his star power continuing to command extraordinary deals across regions. His earlier film Varisu managed to gross 300 crore rupees even without being a runaway hit, demonstrating Vijay’s strong pull among audiences.

For Jana Nayagan, analysts believe that the 500 crore target is achievable if the film connects with the audience. In Tamil Nadu alone, the movie is expected to earn over 200 crore rupees, reflecting Vijay’s unmatched dominance in his home state. The combined market of the Telugu states, Karnataka and Kerala is expected to bring in more than 100 crore rupees, while overseas territories may contribute another 200 crore rupees, driven by Vijay’s huge fan base across the globe. Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan features Mamitha Baiju and Pooja Hegde in key roles. With sky-high expectations, strong pre-release business and the emotional factor of being Vijay’s final cinematic outing, the film is positioned to make a historic impact at the box office.
