Tere Ishk Mein Box Office Day 6: Dhanush Starrer Crosses Rs 100 Crore Worldwide Despite Dip
Aanand L Rai’s romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark globally within six days despite a noticeable dip in Wednesday collections. The film, which opened strong over the weekend, entered its first mid-week phase with slowing numbers, a common pattern for new releases as competition increases in theatres. Even with a drop, the film’s earnings have positioned it as the biggest Hindi film of Dhanush’s career to date, marking his first Rs 100 crore Bollywood worldwide grosser.
As per Sacnilk reports, Tere Ishk Mein earned approximately Rs 6.75 crore nett on Wednesday, contributing around Rs 6.4 crore from Hindi markets and Rs 35 lakh from Tamil regions. By evening, collections settled near Rs 3.83 crore, dropping to less than half of Tuesday’s numbers. Domestically, the film’s current total stands close to Rs 76.75 crore nett, while its gross in India is estimated at around Rs 92.5 crore. Overseas business of roughly Rs 8 crore helped push the global total past Rs 100 crore within the first week. The film opened on a strong note with a Rs 16 crore start on Day 1, followed by Rs 17 crore on Saturday and peaking with Rs 19 crore on Sunday. After a predictable Monday drop of Rs 8.75 crore, numbers saw a slight rise on Tuesday with Rs 10.25 crore.
Tere Ishk Mein continues to find traction with youth audiences through its soundtrack, emotional appeal and Dhanush-Kriti pairing. With approximately Rs 92.5 crore domestic gross in six days, the film now stands as Dhanush’s most successful Bollywood release and the seventh Rs 100 crore film for Kriti Sanon. However, the arrival of Dhurandhar this week introduces new competition during its second weekend. The film will have one more full week to perform before the highly anticipated Avatar: Fire and Ash enters theatres in December, which could impact ongoing collections. Trade analysts suggest that a stable second weekend could further push the film’s lifetime numbers if word-of-mouth remains strong.
