The festival curated a special retrospective of Alia’s film career, tracing her evolution from her early debut years to becoming one of India’s most acclaimed and versatile actors. International audiences revisited her memorable performances in Highway, Dear Zindagi, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and Brahmastra. The showcase drew praise for her ability to excel across intense drama, commercial entertainers, biographical roles, and emotionally driven narratives.

The event also surprised fans with an exclusive first look at Alpha, the upcoming female-led action thriller from the YRF Spy Universe. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the film places Alia Bhatt at the centre of a franchise previously dominated by characters like Tiger, Kabir, and Pathaan. She described the experience as both thrilling and challenging as she steps into a high-powered action space. Alpha features Sharvari and Bobby Deol in key roles and is scheduled for a 2026 release.

Alpha is set to become the seventh film in YRF’s expanding spy franchise after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3, and the upcoming War 2. Under CEO Akshaye Widhani, YRF continues to push international production plans, with multiple projects expected to begin filming in the UK from 2026.
