Dhurandhar Box Office Day 33: Ranveer Singh Film Nears RRR Record With Rs 1222 Cr
Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh, continues its extraordinary run at the global box office. On Day 33, the high-octane action thriller has amassed a staggering Rs 1222 crore worldwide, cementing its status as one of the biggest Indian cinematic successes in recent years. What makes this achievement even more notable is that the film reached this milestone without a release in the Middle East, traditionally a strong overseas market for Indian films.
According to trade estimates, Dhurandhar is now just Rs 8 crore away from matching the lifetime global collection of RRR. With steady collections continuing even in its fifth week, the film is poised to soon become the fourth-highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Despite new releases entering theatres, Dhurandhar has maintained a solid hold, reflecting strong word-of-mouth and sustained audience interest.
A major driving force behind Dhurandhar’s success has been its exceptional overseas performance, particularly in North America. The film has grossed an impressive $31.5 million overseas, with the United States and Canada contributing a significant share. On Tuesday, Dhurandhar became only the second Indian film to cross the $20 million mark in these territories, overtaking major blockbusters such as RRR, Jawan, and Kalki 2898 AD. It is now closing in on the long-standing North American record held by Baahubali 2, which earned $20.7 million.
Despite missing out on Middle Eastern markets, Dhurandhar has shown remarkable consistency across other international regions, underlining its global appeal. Domestically, the film has grossed Rs 938 crore, with a net collection of Rs 781.75 crore as of Tuesday evening. While daily earnings have dipped below Rs 5 crore after five weeks, the film continues to outperform expectations and hold screens across India.
Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh in the role of Hamza, an Indian operative who infiltrates gang and terror networks in Karachi. The film’s gripping narrative, stylized action sequences, and intense performances have played a key role in its sustained box office run. The supporting cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan, all of whom have been praised for their impactful roles. Adding to the momentum, the makers have officially announced a sequel, with Dhurandhar Part 2 scheduled for release in March 2026. As the film edges closer to rewriting box office history, industry observers believe Dhurandhar is not just a commercial triumph but also a landmark moment in reshaping the global perception of Indian cinema.
