Chiranjeevi–Venkatesh First Collaboration: MSVG Role Details Revealed

Senior star Venkatesh is all set to surprise audiences with a special appearance in the upcoming Telugu film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, popularly referred to as MSVG. The film is already drawing significant attention as it marks the first-ever on-screen collaboration between megastar Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh, two stalwarts of Telugu cinema. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film is being promoted as a laugh-filled family entertainer aimed at festive audiences.

The idea of bringing Venkatesh on board reportedly originated from Chiranjeevi himself, who hinted at casting him in a special role during early discussions. Following this, Anil Ravipudi developed a tailored character that would complement both stars without overshadowing the main narrative. Interestingly, Venkatesh was roped in after the shoot of the film had already commenced, making his inclusion a pleasant surprise for fans.

According to industry sources, Venkatesh has allocated just 15 days for the project and will be seen on screen for approximately 20 minutes. His presence is largely concentrated in the second half of the film, including a song sequence. The pre-climax portions featuring both Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh together are said to be among the biggest highlights, promising a mix of comedy, emotion, and nostalgia that fans of both actors are eagerly waiting for.

Venkatesh reportedly charged around Rs 9 crore as remuneration for his special role, a figure that is being considered quite reasonable given his stature and market value. The actor is said to have completed most of his scenes in a single shooting schedule, showcasing his professionalism and commitment. The song featuring him was filmed later as a separate schedule, adding further curiosity around his role.

The film also stars Nayanthara as the female lead, adding star power and widening the film’s appeal across audiences. With Anil Ravipudi’s trademark comedy treatment and a strong ensemble cast, expectations are high that MSVG will cater well to family audiences.

Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on January 12, strategically timed to take advantage of the festive season. The combination of Chiranjeevi’s mass appeal, Venkatesh’s special role, and Anil Ravipudi’s commercial storytelling has created strong pre-release buzz across trade circles and social media.

Venkatesh’s involvement in MSVG is seen as a major value addition rather than a mere cameo. His reported remuneration, limited shoot schedule, and impactful screen presence underline how carefully the role has been designed. As the release date approaches, fans are eager to witness this rare collaboration unfold on the big screen, making MSVG one of the most talked-about Telugu releases of the season.
