Actor Fahadh Faasil has officially confirmed that he will be playing the antagonist in the upcoming Malayalam thriller Patriot, starring industry legends Mohanlal and Mammootty. The revelation was made during a recent public event, instantly boosting excitement around the film, which is directed by Mahesh Narayanan. Patriot is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 23 and is already being positioned as one of the most ambitious Malayalam films in recent times.
Speaking candidly, Fahadh Faasil stated that he portrays the negative character in Patriot, adding another powerful role to his versatile filmography. His announcement created strong buzz among fans, especially given the presence of two of Malayalam cinema’s biggest icons in the same project. During the interaction, the actor also confirmed that a sequel to his hit film Aavesham is in the pipeline, tentatively expected to begin production around 2027 or 2028.
