INCA Awards 2026: First National Platform Uniting 12 Indian Film Industries

The Indian National Cine Academy has officially announced the launch of the Kalyan Jewellers INCA Awards 2026, marking a historic moment for Indian cinema. Scheduled to take place in Mumbai on April 15 and 16, 2026, the event aims to bring together 12 major Indian film industries under one unified national platform for the very first time. This groundbreaking initiative represents a significant step toward recognizing the diversity, talent, and collective strength of Indian cinema across multiple languages and regions.

The INCA Awards are designed to function as a unified academy that celebrates excellence across Indian cinema rather than recognizing industries separately. By honoring talent from different language industries on a single stage, the platform reflects the true scale and cultural richness of Indian storytelling. The academy is promoted by Vishnu Vardhan Induri, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry known for successfully launching initiatives such as the Celebrity Cricket League and the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA). The Producers Guild of India has joined as the Chief Patron, providing strong institutional support and credibility to the new awards platform, while Kalyan Jewellers has partnered as the presenting sponsor for the inaugural edition.

The INCA Awards will recognize excellence in 12 major Indian film industries, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, and Gujarati cinema. Awards will be presented in key categories such as Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Actress for each language industry. In addition, the academy will also present prestigious All India awards covering categories like Best Director, Best Music, Best Technical Achievement, Outstanding Performance, and Best Debut Talent.

Eligibility for the awards includes films released between January 1 and December 31, 2025. Producers and filmmakers can submit their entries through the official online platform before the deadline of March 1, 2026. This inclusive submission process ensures that filmmakers from across India have the opportunity to participate and receive recognition on a national level.

The launch of the INCA Awards represents a major milestone in promoting unity within the Indian film industry. For decades, Indian cinema has thrived across multiple languages and regions, but recognition has often been fragmented across different award platforms. INCA aims to bridge this gap by celebrating talent collectively, highlighting India’s position as one of the world’s largest and most diverse film industries.

By bringing together artists, filmmakers, and technicians from across the country, the INCA Awards will foster collaboration, cultural exchange, and national recognition. The event is expected to attract leading actors, directors, producers, and industry professionals from all major film industries, making it one of the most anticipated entertainment events of 2026.

The inaugural INCA Awards symbolize a new era for Indian cinema, where regional industries are celebrated not in isolation but as part of a unified national creative force. With strong industry backing and a clear vision, the INCA Awards are set to become one of the most prestigious and influential film award platforms in India.
