Melody Brahma Mani Sharma, known for his timeless melodies, is back with a classic track for the upcoming Telugu film Chennai Love Story. Directed by Ravi Namburi and starring Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya, the film's music promises to offer a refreshing take on love stories, with the newly released song titled "Gurutundha" being a standout.
The song, a beautiful melody, explores the concept of first love, focusing on the reality of the experience rather than the exaggerated magical portrayals often seen in romantic tales. Gurutundha highlights the simplicity of first love and the emotions tied to it, rather than creating a fairy-tale atmosphere. The track is written by Ananth Sriram, with vocals by Hari Charan and Shruthi Samudrala, bringing together a mix of Telugu and English phrases, making the lyrics catchy and relatable to a broad audience.
The visual aspect of the song features the lead pair, Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya, drenched in rain, a classic setting that amplifies the emotional intensity of the song. The chorus of children singing adds a unique, heartwarming touch, making the track stand out even more. In a departure from Mani Sharma’s usual compositions, the melody is light and soothing, offering a more understated yet deeply emotional listening experience.
Produced by SKN and Sai Rajesh under Amrutha Productions and Mass Movie Makers, Chennai Love Story is set to make a grand release in the summer, with Gurutundha serving as a glimpse into the emotional journey the film promises to deliver. The track’s blend of simple musical elements and emotional storytelling ensures that it will connect with audiences of all ages, evoking memories of first love and its bittersweet moments.
