Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Raaka is already creating strong buzz in the Hindi belt, with distributors in Bihar reportedly competing to secure exclusive theatrical rights. The rising demand highlights the actor’s expanding influence beyond South India, especially after the massive success of his Pushpa franchise.
Multiple distributors from Bihar are said to be in active discussions with the makers of Raaka, with offers reaching unusually high levels for territorial rights. This surge in demand is largely driven by Allu Arjun’s growing popularity in northern states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand.
Trade insiders suggest that the success of Pushpa: The Rise and Pushpa 2: The Rule has significantly boosted his market value in the Hindi-speaking regions. The films performed exceptionally well in these areas, even leading to the reopening of theatres in certain pockets due to high audience turnout. The Hindi version of Pushpa: The Rise alone crossed Rs 100 crore, while Pushpa 2 reportedly delivered massive collections, further cementing Arjun’s position as a pan-India star.
The Pushpa franchise played a crucial role in expanding Allu Arjun’s fan base across India. While the first film was initially released in Telugu, its popularity prompted a Hindi dubbed release that became a major box office success. The momentum carried forward with the sequel, which saw an even stronger response from northern markets.
Directed by Atlee and backed by Sun Pictures, Raaka is expected to release in 2027. The film also stars Deepika Padukone in a leading role. Initially referred to as AA22 X A6, the project marks a significant collaboration and is being planned as a pan-India release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. With strong distributor interest even before release, Raaka is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated big-budget films, reflecting the growing power of pan-India cinema and Allu Arjun’s box office pull across regions.
