Hanuman Ansh Soars From Rs 10 Lakh Opening to Rs 47 Crore

Hanuman Ansh Soars From Rs 10 Lakh Opening to Rs 47 Crore

Hanuman Ansh has reportedly earned Rs 47.33 crore gross in India after 24 days. The devotional film opened with only Rs 10 lakh but recorded its biggest single-day collection during its fourth weekend.

Director Vishal Chaturvedi’s devotional drama Hanuman Ansh has delivered one of the most extraordinary box-office turnarounds of 2026. The film, which began its theatrical journey with an estimated Rs 10 lakh on August 7, has reportedly reached an India gross of Rs 47.33 crore after 24 days.

According to preliminary figures reported by trade tracking website Sacnilk, Hanuman Ansh earned an estimated Rs 12.75 crore net on Day 24 across 5,363 shows. It was the film’s biggest single-day collection and took its reported India net total to Rs 40.13 crore.

The performance is unusual because Hanuman Ansh did not benefit from a major opening, a large promotional campaign or a widely recognized commercial star. Instead, the devotional film gained momentum several weeks after release through positive audience response.

Box Office rise began after two difficult weeks

Hanuman Ansh struggled to attract audiences during its initial theatrical run. It collected approximately Rs 1.08 crore net in its first week, while the second week contributed another Rs 40 lakh.

By the end of Day 14, its India net collection reportedly stood at only Rs 1.48 crore. The film earned Rs 15 lakh on Day 15, suggesting that its run could end without making a significant impact.

However, collections climbed to Rs 85 lakh on Day 16 before crossing Rs 2 crore for the first time with an estimated Rs 2.20 crore on Day 17. The film continued to gain momentum and finished its third week with around Rs 10.40 crore net.

The increase encouraged exhibitors to add screens and shows rather than remove the film. Its expanding theatrical presence reflected a rise in audience demand at a stage when most films experience a sharp decline.

Turnaround accelerates during remarkable fourth weekend

The fourth weekend transformed Hanuman Ansh into a major sleeper hit. The film reportedly collected Rs 6.25 crore net on its fourth Friday and followed it with Rs 9.25 crore on Saturday.

Sunday brought another dramatic jump, with the film earning an estimated Rs 12.75 crore net. This represented an increase of approximately 37.8 percent from Saturday and became its highest daily collection.

The Sunday earnings were greater than the movie’s entire first-week total of Rs 1.08 crore. This contrast shows how strongly word of mouth changed its commercial trajectory after the first two weeks.

Hanuman Ansh has now earned the overwhelming majority of its reported collection after Day 14. The trend also demonstrates how smaller films can recover from slow openings when positive audience recommendations create sustained interest.

Budget makes Hanuman Ansh success more impressive

Hanuman Ansh was reportedly produced on a budget of approximately Rs 2 crore. Compared with its estimated Rs 40.13 crore India net collection, the film has earned more than 20 times its reported production cost at the domestic box office.

The makers reportedly used grassroots promotion, including community gatherings and bhandaras, to reach audiences interested in the film’s spiritual subject. Its devotional theme and focus on Neem Karoli Baba appear to have helped it connect organically with its target viewers.

Shobhinav Satyaa plays Neem Karoli Baba, popularly known as Maharaj-Ji among followers. The supporting cast includes Chandan K Anand, Anil Rastogi, Purnima Tiwari and Vihaan Shedge.

Satyaa was initially involved with the project as an assistant director. He reportedly stepped into the leading role after the actor originally selected for the character became unwell, adding another unexpected chapter to the film’s journey.

Week 4 momentum puts Rs 50 crore within reach

With its reported India gross standing at Rs 47.33 crore after 24 days, Hanuman Ansh is now less than Rs 3 crore away from the Rs 50 crore domestic milestone.

The film’s continued growth will depend on weekday occupancy, screen retention and competition from new releases. Box-office figures may also be revised as final data becomes available.

Nevertheless, the movie has already emerged as one of the year’s most surprising commercial stories. It entered theatres with minimal attention, struggled for two weeks and then found an audience through recommendations and growing devotional interest.

Hanuman Ansh proves that a weak opening does not always determine a film’s final result. Its rise from Rs 10 lakh on Day 1 to nearly Rs 50 crore gross shows how audience support can completely transform a movie’s theatrical fortunes.
