Horror Film Obsession Made 10 Crore, Heading for 1000 Crore
Obsession, a horror film made on a 10 crore budget, is smashing records at the US box office and globally. With collections set to hit 1000 crore, it’s one of the biggest low-budget blockbusters in history.

The Hollywood horror film Obsession is turning heads at the global box office with a phenomenal performance that has stunned both audiences and industry experts. Directed as a violent, unsettling horror narrative, the film stars Inde Naverette and Curry Barker in lead roles. Despite being produced on a modest budget of just $1 million (roughly ₹9.5 to 10 crore), the film is on track to collect nearly $100 million globally, which translates to approximately ₹970 to 1000 crore. This staggering return, nearly one hundred times its original investment, positions Obsession as one of the biggest blockbusters of all time in global cinema.

Obsession debuted with $17.2 million domestically in the United States and has seen continuous growth over its second weekend. On Sunday alone, it is projected to hit $50 million, maintaining the number one position in America for three consecutive days. Notably, it surpassed the Michael Jackson biopic, which earned $2.6 million, highlighting the film’s immense popularity and audience traction. Analysts attribute the film’s success to its intense storytelling, strong performances, and the universal appeal of its horror elements, which have resonated across international markets.

The combination of strategic marketing, strong word-of-mouth, and exceptional cinematic execution has made Obsession a case study in low-budget horror achieving unprecedented global success. The massive box office run underscores the growing demand for high-quality horror films that push creative boundaries while appealing to a worldwide audience. With its record-breaking collection trajectory, Obsession is not only redefining expectations for horror films but also inspiring young filmmakers to explore ambitious projects with innovative storytelling, proving that a well-crafted concept can yield extraordinary financial and cultural impact on a global scale.
