The makers of Varun Tej’s upcoming horror comedy Korean Kanakaraju have released the film’s second single, Raasa Gummadi. Following the Korean-inspired flavour of the first song, Kamsahamnida, the new track shifts the film’s musical promotions towards traditional Telugu folk entertainment.

Set against a colourful village celebration, Raasa Gummadi blends festive rhythms, rustic instruments and energetic choreography. The song has been designed as a lively commercial number that can appeal to audiences through its instantly recognisable folk atmosphere.

The contrasting musical styles of the first two singles also offer a glimpse of the film’s cross-cultural identity. Korean Kanakaraju is being promoted as an Indo-Korean horror comedy combining supernatural elements, humour, romance and regional entertainment.

Varun Tej Dance Becomes the Main Highlight

Varun Tej appears in a stylish traditional look and leads the song with energetic dance moves. The actor embraces the rural celebration setting while maintaining the polished screen presence expected from a large-scale commercial film.

Daksha Nagarkar joins him in the special dance number and adds glamour and energy to the visuals. Their lively performance is supported by colourful costumes, festival decorations, large dance groups and a village-fair backdrop.

The song was launched during a promotional event in Anantapur. The event also marked Varun Tej’s return to public promotions after reportedly recovering from a leg injury sustained while training for another project.

Thaman Music Brings Authentic Folk Flavour

Music composer S Thaman has created Raasa Gummadi with energetic percussion and Telugu folk instrumentation. The composition moves away from the international sound of Kamsahamnida and focuses on a rustic, celebratory rhythm suited to the village setting.

Singer Nalgonda Gaddar’s earthy voice gives the track a distinctive regional texture. Lyricist Kasarla Shyam captures the excitement of a traditional celebration through mass-oriented Telugu lyrics designed to complement the beats and choreography.

The combination of Thaman’s energetic composition, Nalgonda Gaddar’s vocals and Kasarla Shyam’s lyrics gives the song a strong Rayalaseema folk identity. Its festive presentation positions Raasa Gummadi as one of the film’s major theatrical dance attractions.

Korean Kanakaraju Release Set for August 7

Korean Kanakaraju is written and directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. Ritika Nayak plays the female lead, while comedian Satya appears in an important entertaining role alongside Varun Tej.

The film is produced by UV Creations in association with First Frame Entertainment. Its technical team includes S Thaman as music director, Manojh Reddy Katasani as cinematographer and Satyaa G as editor.

The horror comedy is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 7, 2026. With Raasa Gummadi, the promotional campaign has introduced a vibrant native flavour while increasing anticipation for Varun Tej’s performance, the film’s comedy and its unusual Indo-Korean supernatural storyline.
