Ramayana Trailer to Release at 4:15 AM in Brahma Muhurat

The makers of Ramayana have confirmed that the highly anticipated trailer will release worldwide on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 4:15 AM IST. The unusual early-morning launch has been scheduled during Brahma Muhurat after the trailer’s earlier July 24 premiere was postponed.

Ramayana Trailer Gets New July 30 Release Date

The long-awaited trailer of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana will finally be released worldwide on July 30 at 4:15 AM IST. Announcing the revised schedule on social media, the makers said the trailer would welcome the dawn of Ramayana during the auspicious Brahma Muhurat.

The timing has immediately attracted attention because major film trailers are usually launched during daytime or evening hours. However, the team appears to have selected the early-morning slot to connect the promotional event with the spiritual and cultural significance of the epic.

The trailer was initially scheduled to premiere on July 24 but was postponed shortly before its planned release. No replacement date was announced immediately, leaving audiences waiting for clarity about when the first extensive footage from the film would become publicly available.

Producer Namit Malhotra later explained that the postponement followed a global distribution agreement with Sony Pictures Entertainment. The makers reportedly decided to coordinate the trailer release as part of a wider international rollout rather than proceed with the earlier schedule.

Ramayana Trailer Timing Draws Mixed Fan Reactions

The revised announcement generated strong interest across social media, with many fans expressing excitement about finally seeing the trailer. Several users welcomed the idea of launching it during Brahma Muhurat and said the timing was appropriate for a film based on the revered Indian epic.

Others reacted with humour and scepticism because of the extremely early release time. Some fans joked that they would have to wake up before 4 AM to watch the trailer, while others asked the makers not to postpone it again.

The mixed response also reflected lingering disappointment over the July 24 cancellation. Although anticipation remains high, some social media users said they would believe the announcement only after the trailer officially becomes available online.

The unusual timing has nevertheless helped the campaign gain additional visibility. The combination of a spiritual theme, a global release and fan discussions surrounding the postponement has made the trailer one of the most closely watched Indian film promotions of the year.

Ramayana Features Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi And Yash

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The film is being developed as a two-part cinematic epic, with the first instalment positioned as a large-scale global theatrical event.

The makers previously screened the trailer for a select gathering at the Ramayana: Pratham Sankalp event in Delhi. The programme also formally introduced the principal cast associated with the ambitious production.

Exclusive footage was later presented at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, underlining the team’s intention to promote the film beyond India. The international showcase offered audiences an early indication of the visual scale, world-building and technical ambition behind the project.

The involvement of DNEG, which is led by Namit Malhotra, has also raised expectations regarding the film’s visual effects. Yash’s Monster Mind Creations is associated with the production, further adding to interest around the adaptation.

Ramayana Secures Major Global Distribution Partnerships

The Ramayana team has assembled prominent production and distribution partners for its theatrical rollout. DNEG and Monster Mind Creations have joined hands with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for the film’s distribution across India.

Sony Pictures Entertainment’s global involvement is expected to support the project’s international release strategy. The partnership was cited as a key reason behind the decision to postpone the earlier trailer launch and organise a coordinated worldwide premiere.

With the July 30 trailer release now confirmed, audiences are expected to receive their clearest look yet at Ranbir Kapoor’s Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi’s Sita and Yash’s Ravana. The footage will also offer an indication of how Nitesh Tiwari has approached the scale, emotion and mythology of the celebrated epic. All attention will now be on whether the trailer arrives as scheduled at 4:15 AM IST. Following the earlier postponement and widespread online discussion, its release is likely to become a major moment in the film’s promotional campaign.
