Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons has reportedly closed around Rs 22 crore in AP-Telangana theatrical business ahead of its worldwide release.
Vishwanath And Sons AP-Telangana Business Reaches Rs 22 Crore
Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons is heading for its worldwide theatrical release with encouraging pre-release buzz and strong business reported across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Directed by Venky Atluri and backed by producer Naga Vamsi, the film is said to have generated theatrical business of around Rs 22 crore across the two Telugu states.
Expectations around the movie have increased because Suriya is arriving after the success of Karuppu, while Venky Atluri has also built strong momentum with his recent films. The combination has helped Vishwanath And Sons attract distributor interest ahead of release.
The project is also being described as a financially comfortable venture for the producer because of a reportedly lucrative digital streaming agreement with Netflix. The OTT deal is believed to have covered a significant portion of the production investment even before the theatrical run begins.
Vishwanath And Sons Andhra And Ceeded Rights Details
According to trade reports, the producer initially quoted ratios of around Rs 11 crore and Rs 10.5 crore for certain Andhra territories. After negotiations across individual regions, the overall Andhra theatrical valuation is understood to have settled at approximately Rs 10 crore.
Ceeded rights are reportedly valued at around Rs 4 crore. Together, Andhra and Ceeded account for a major portion of the film’s Telugu-state pre-release theatrical business.
The pricing reflects the confidence surrounding Suriya’s market in the Telugu states as well as expectations around Venky Atluri’s commercial storytelling. The final performance, however, will depend on audience response and opening-weekend momentum.
Vishwanath And Sons Nizam Rights Deal Sees Higher Bid
The Nizam business reportedly witnessed additional competition. Naga Vamsi is said to have initially committed the rights to a new distributor for approximately Rs 7.2 crore on an NRA basis.
However, reports suggest that another established producer later entered the race and offered a higher amount. Around Rs 9 crore has reportedly been paid toward the Nizam rights, although a recovery component is still being discussed.
The recovery amount could reportedly be close to Rs 1.5 crore, but the final terms have not yet been confirmed. Depending on the final settlement, the total Nizam valuation could contribute substantially to the film’s overall Telugu-state business.
Vishwanath And Sons Release Carries Strong Trade Expectations
With Andhra business estimated at around Rs 10 crore, Ceeded at Rs 4 crore and the Nizam deal contributing the remaining major share, the combined AP and Telangana theatrical business is expected to be around Rs 22 crore.
The strong digital deal with Netflix is also expected to provide the producer with additional financial security before box-office revenues are counted.
As Vishwanath And Sons arrives in theatres worldwide, attention will now turn to its opening collections and whether the pre-release buzz converts into strong audience turnout. Suriya’s recent momentum, Venky Atluri’s track record and the reported Rs 22 crore Telugu-state theatrical business have positioned the film as one of the notable releases to watch.
