Chiranjeevi May Have Two Film Releases Within One Month

Megastar Chiranjeevi could deliver two major theatrical releases within a remarkably short period if the latest industry speculation surrounding Vishwambhara proves accurate. The fantasy drama is reportedly being considered for a December 2026 opening, while his other anticipated project, Kaaka, is being prepared for the Sankranthi 2027 season.

Such a schedule would bring the two Chiranjeevi films to cinemas with a gap of approximately one month. Although the possibility has generated considerable excitement among fans, neither the December release of Vishwambhara nor the exact theatrical date of Kaaka has been officially confirmed by the respective production teams.

Vishwambhara December Release Depends On VFX Completion

Directed by Vassishta, who made his feature-film debut with Bimbisara, Vishwambhara was announced as an ambitious fantasy entertainer featuring Chiranjeevi in the lead role. The project attracted strong attention from the beginning because of its scale, genre and extensive use of visual effects.

However, the film’s release plans have remained uncertain as the team continues working on its VFX and other post-production requirements. Some early promotional material also drew criticism over the quality of its visual effects, increasing expectations that the makers would devote additional time to improving the final presentation.

According to the latest industry buzz, the producers could explore a December 2026 release if all pending work is completed within the required schedule. That possibility remains dependent on the progress of visual-effects production, editing and other technical processes. Considering the scale of the unfinished work, a December opening may be difficult unless the team reaches its quality and delivery targets without rushing the film.

The month is also expected to be crowded at the Telugu box office. Projects associated with major stars, including Prabhas’ Fauzi, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s NBK 111 and Nagarjuna’s King 100, have been linked to December release plans. Their arrival could create competition for screens, audiences and premium showtimes.

Kaaka Sankranthi Plans Create A Short Release Gap

Chiranjeevi’s Kaaka, directed by Bobby Kolli, is reportedly progressing with a Sankranthi release in mind. The film is being produced by KVN Productions, the company associated with Toxic, and has already become one of the actor’s most closely watched upcoming projects.

If Vishwambhara reaches theatres in December and Kaaka follows during Sankranthi, Chiranjeevi would have two large-scale releases within nearly one month. The unusual scheduling could give fans consecutive celebrations, but it may also divide promotional attention and reduce the theatrical breathing space available to the first film.

Major star-led productions generally require sufficient time for marketing, audience engagement and box-office recovery. A short interval could make it challenging to conduct two separate promotional campaigns and may force distributors and exhibitors to manage overlapping business expectations.

The situation has therefore attracted interest within trade circles. The final schedule will likely depend on Vishwambhara’s readiness, Kaaka’s production progress and the availability of suitable release dates during the crowded year-end and festival periods.

Vishwambhara Pre-Summer Release Remains A Possible Alternative

If the December schedule becomes impractical, the Vishwambhara team may reportedly consider moving the film to a pre-summer 2027 window. A later date would offer additional time to complete the visual effects, strengthen promotional activity and avoid placing two Chiranjeevi releases too close together.

That option could also provide Vishwambhara with a less congested theatrical corridor, depending on the release calendar of other major Telugu films. Since the fantasy drama relies heavily on visual spectacle, delivering a polished final product is expected to remain more important than meeting an unofficial date.

For now, reports of a December release should be treated as speculation rather than a confirmed announcement. The makers have not formally revealed a new theatrical date, and the final decision is expected only after they assess the progress of VFX and post-production work. Until then, the possibility of two Chiranjeevi films arriving within one month remains an exciting but uncertain scenario.
