Nani’s The Paradise May Move to October 1 Over VFX Delay

Nani’s The Paradise May Move to October 1 Over VFX Delay

Reports claim Nani’s The Paradise could move from September 24 to October 1. Pending VFX and climax CG work reportedly triggered the speculation, but the makers have not announced any release-date change.

Nani’s highly anticipated action drama The Paradise could face another change in its theatrical release schedule. While the film officially remains set to arrive on September 24, reports from trade circles suggest that the makers are considering October 1 as a possible alternative.

The latest postponement speculation is linked to unfinished post-production work. Important visual effects and other technical elements reportedly remain incomplete, raising questions about whether the team can finish the film without compromising its final quality.

However, no official announcement has been made by Nani, director Srikanth Odela or the production house. Until the makers issue a revised schedule, September 24 remains the confirmed theatrical release date.

The Paradise Faces Pending VFX Work

According to industry reports, the film’s CG-heavy climax is one of the main reasons behind the uncertainty. Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri is reportedly spending approximately Rs 2 crore on the climax’s computer-generated imagery alone.

The technical work is said to be taking longer than initially expected. With only a limited period remaining before the scheduled release, the production team must decide whether the remaining post-production can be completed and reviewed in time.

The Paradise is being developed as an ambitious action drama with a visually demanding presentation. Rushing the VFX could affect the impact of its major sequences, while postponing the release would disrupt promotional, distribution and theatrical plans.

Nani is reportedly expected to meet the team and examine the production status before a final decision is taken. The next few days could therefore determine whether the movie retains its current date or shifts to the beginning of October.

October 1 Shift Could Create Telugu Box Office Clash

A possible October 1 release would also complicate the Telugu cinema calendar. Naga Vamsi’s Aadarsha Kutumbham House No. 47, starring Venkatesh, has been associated with an October 2 theatrical release.

The Venkatesh film was reportedly planned to arrive after The Paradise had completed its initial box-office run. If Nani’s movie moves to October 1, the two projects could release just one day apart and compete directly for screens across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The situation has an additional business connection because Naga Vamsi reportedly holds a 25 per cent stake in the Nizam distribution rights of The Paradise. Reports previously claimed that Aadarsha Kutumbham House No. 47 was being considered for an October 9 release to provide Nani’s film with a two-week window.

Any change involving The Paradise could consequently force distributors and producers to reassess both release strategies. October is already expected to become competitive, with Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali and Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 reportedly arriving during the second week of the month.

Official Release Date Remains September 24

The Paradise has already experienced several changes to its release plan. It was initially expected to reach cinemas on March 26 before being shifted to August 21. The makers later announced September 24 as the new date.

If the film moves again, it would mark its third postponement. Repeated changes can affect theatre allocation, promotional campaigns, advance planning and agreements involving distributors and exhibitors.

The teaser and the song Aaya Sher have already helped build anticipation around the action drama. Nani reunites with Dasara director Srikanth Odela for the project, which also features Raghav Juyal in a prominent role.

Despite increasing trade speculation, an October 1 release remains unconfirmed. The makers continue to promote September 24 as the official date, and audiences will have to wait for a formal statement before treating reports of a postponement as final.
