Powerpeta Introduces Ritika Nayak as Janaki
Ritika Nayak’s first look from Powerpeta offers a softer introduction to director Krishna Chaitanya’s political drama. Unveiled on her birthday, the poster introduces her as Padamataveedhi Janaki, the female lead opposite Sundeep Kishan.
The actress, known for Mirai, joins a film that brings together personal relationships, emotions and politics. Her character reveal adds another dimension to the world of Powerpeta following the earlier introduction of its male lead.
First Look Highlights a Traditional Setting
The poster presents Ritika seated on a wooden bench inside a traditional manduva house. Dressed in a half saree with a sleeveless blouse and draped dupatta, she appears calm and composed against the domestic backdrop.
The accompanying birthday glimpse shows her in several contrasting styles. Traditional outfits sit alongside contemporary looks, including an oversized shirt, offering a broader visual introduction to Janaki. While the glimpse highlights these changes in appearance, the makers have kept her character’s journey under wraps.
Sundeep Kishan Plays Senapathi Ravi
Sundeep Kishan was previously introduced as Senapathi Ravi through a glimpse with an intense tone. Ritika’s character reveal brings a different mood to the film’s promotional material, building curiosity about how Ravi and Janaki’s stories connect.
Krishna Chaitanya is directing Powerpeta, with 70mm Entertainments backing the production. The team has completed 60% of filming, marking substantial progress on the project. A theatrical release date was not included in the latest update.
Mani Sharma Leads the Music Team
Powerpeta’s technical crew includes Mani Sharma as music composer and Madhie as cinematographer. Sreekar Prasad is handling editing, while Ramakrishna and Monika oversee production design.
With its lead characters now introduced, attention turns to the story connecting them and the political setting around them. Ritika’s birthday reveal gives audiences a closer look at Janaki while leaving her role in the film’s central conflict open for discovery.
