It is now official that Sai Pallavi will portray Sita in the upcoming Bollywood film Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, while KGF star Yash has been cast as Raavan. Yash recently revealed that selecting Sai Pallavi for the role was a collaborative decision, praising her as a fabulous actor.
During a promotional interview for her film Amaran, Sai Pallavi was asked about her experience playing Sita. While she refrained from disclosing specific details due to contractual obligations, she expressed that the role is a deeply spiritual journey for her. "I look for personal growth in all films," she shared, emphasizing the importance of letting the character guide her.
"I have to shut down the fear of wanting to be Sitamma. Every time I try to embody her, I pray, saying, 'You act through me and do what you have to do for the people; I am just a vessel,'" Sai Pallavi explained. She aspires to be not just an actress but a devoted interpreter of the character, highlighting her dedication and reverence for the role.
