Story: Sachin(Naslen) and Amal(Sangeeth) are good friends and they move to Hyderabad for GATE coaching. In the process, Sachin sees Reenu(Mamitha) and falls for her instantly. What is the story between the three of them? The answer forms the rest of the plot.
How did the actors perform?
Naslen and Sangeeth are good in their roles an they deliver a good performance. But the main star of the show is Mamitha Baiju as she steals the space with her cute antics and natural performance. She has great potential.
What about the technical finesse?
The film is directed by Girish AD and he picks a naturally entertaining youthful genre and presents it in an entertaining manner. The music and background score are in tune with the nature of the film and they work in the favor of the film. Editing is crisp.
Analysis:
Premalu is a youthful entertainer and the film progresses on an entertaining note for most parts. The young age romance track between the lead pair works the trick for the film as it is entertaining and contentful at the same time.
The film has many references to contemporary memes an social media events which brings an instant connect factor for the film. The youthful presentation is the mainstay and it woks well.
But the issue is that the film is entirely focused on youthful moments and caters entirely to the younger generation of the audience. There is no appeal to the wider section of the audience. This might sound petty but a valid point, as there is no appeal for the family audience.
Analysis: Premalu is an entertaining youthful drama with the appeal entirely around the youthful audience. It can be watched for the youthful content.
