Telangana MBBS Student Dies in Vietnam Bike Crash

A 21-year-old MBBS student from Telangana tragically lost his life after a high-speed motorcycle crash in Vietnam’s Can Tho City. The victim, identified as Arshid Ashrith, was a third-year medical student and the son of Arshid Arjun and Pratima, residents of the Komaram Bheem Asifabad district in Telangana.

The accident occurred in the early hours of June 4 when Ashrith was riding a 150cc motorcycle with a friend. According to local reports and CCTV footage from the scene, the bike was traveling at a dangerously high speed when it lost control and slammed into the wall of a residential house. The force of the impact flung both riders off the bike, which continued to skid before coming to a stop.

Ashrith succumbed to injuries on the spot, while his friend, who was riding pillion, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment. The video of the crash, which has since surfaced online, shows the terrifying velocity of the vehicle and the devastating consequences of the impact.

The sudden death of the young medical student has left his family in Telangana devastated. Ashrith’s parents, upon hearing the news, were reportedly overwhelmed with grief. A promising future in medicine was cut short, leaving a community and campus mourning the loss of a bright, young life abroad.

The Indian Embassy in Vietnam is expected to assist with the repatriation of Ashrith’s remains. Meanwhile, officials are coordinating with local authorities for further details about the crash and medical updates on the injured companion.

This incident also brings renewed focus on road safety and the risks associated with high-speed driving, particularly among young riders abroad. As investigations continue, tributes and condolences have begun pouring in from peers, friends, and community members both in Vietnam and Telangana.
