Sisodia’s Spell Helps India Fight Back Against England in U-19 Women’s T20 Semi-Final

In a thrilling semi-final clash at the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Parunika Sisodia’s inspiring spell has been pivotal in India’s effort to bring England back from a strong start. England, opting to bat first, had a solid beginning with Davina Perrin leading the charge. She scored 45 off 40 balls, helping her side reach 37/0 by the end of the powerplay. However, India’s spinners, led by Sisodia and Aayushi Shukla, soon triggered a dramatic collapse in the England batting lineup.

Sisodia’s excellent performance put the brakes on England’s progress, with Aayushi Shukla also playing a key role in the middle overs. Shukla’s breakthrough came when she dismissed the dangerous Perrin in the 12th over, giving India a much-needed breakthrough. England captain Abi Norgrove contributed 30 off 25 balls, helping her team inch closer to triple figures. But the collapse in the latter stages has left England with a lot to do to set a challenging target.
