Her message came at a time when several viral screenshots claiming to show alleged cheating by Palaash were shared widely on social media, though none of them could be authenticated. Neeti stressed that technology can often mislead, and reminded the public that the truth should not be concluded based on rumours.
In an Instagram story, Neeti Tak wrote that Palaash was going through a critical emotional phase and asked people to pray for him instead of spreading assumptions. Her appeal followed growing chatter online after the wedding, originally scheduled for November 23, was halted at the last moment. Palaash’s sister, singer Palak Muchhal, had previously clarified that the decision was made due to Smriti Mandhana’s father experiencing heart attack-like symptoms and being rushed to a hospital in Sangli. Reports later confirmed that Shriniwas Mandhana was discharged on Wednesday, but the family chose to prioritise his health before moving ahead with the wedding plans.
Social media users also noticed that Smriti’s engagement announcement video was deleted shortly after the wedding was postponed, and some teammates removed the reel from their profiles as well. This sparked additional rumours about the couple’s relationship status. Meanwhile, Palaash’s mother revealed that he was emotionally devastated by the sudden turn of events, particularly because he shared a close bond with Smriti’s father. Palak Muchhal issued another statement requesting privacy for both families during this sensitive period, asking the public and media to refrain from unnecessary speculation.
