Aamir Khan has officially confirmed that he will appear in a cameo role in Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Speaking in an interview, Aamir admitted he did not even listen to the script before saying yes to the role. The Bollywood superstar said he instantly agreed when approached, simply because of his admiration for Rajinikanth and his respect for Lokesh’s work. Aamir described working with Rajinikanth as a personal high point and revealed that he thoroughly enjoyed the experience on set.

Coolie is an upcoming action thriller slated for a grand theatrical release on August 14, just ahead of India’s Independence Day. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film features a stellar lineup including Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Reba Monica John, and Monisha Blessy. The film is expected to be a major box-office attraction, combining star power with high-octane storytelling.

Aamir also hinted at another collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj after the director completes Kaithi 2. That full-length feature is likely to begin production in the second half of 2026.
