Khushbu Sundar, a prominent actor and politician, has been appointed as one of the Vice-Presidents of BJP Tamil Nadu. Expressing her excitement, Khushbu shared her gratitude for the opportunity and revealed her immediate focus on strengthening the BJP's grassroots presence, particularly in South Chennai. She emphasized the importance of reaching out to voters directly, possibly through door-to-door campaigning, to educate them on the work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.

Khushbu, in her new role, will also focus on expanding the party’s footprint, especially with elections approaching. She mentioned her ongoing partnership with AIADMK, emphasizing the long-standing cordial ties between the two parties. While she clarified that final alliance decisions are up to senior leaders, she made a direct appeal to actor Vijay, urging him to join forces with BJP and AIADMK. She reminded Vijay, the leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), of his long-standing opposition to the DMK government’s failures and suggested that uniting could lead to a strong political force to defeat DMK.

Khushbu also thanked key BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran, for their trust in her. Her appointment marks a significant step for the BJP in Tamil Nadu as she aims to bolster the party’s presence across constituencies.

Her leadership role in the BJP follows her earlier resignation from the National Commission for Women and a brief Assembly election contest in 2021. With her appointment, Khushbu Sundar is set to play a crucial part in the party's strategies for the upcoming state elections.
