Indian-Origin Woman Amanpreet Saini Murdered In Canada, Suspect Manpreet Singh Fled To India

A tragic murder case has shocked the Indian community in Canada after the body of 27-year-old Amanpreet Saini was found with traumatic injuries in a park in Lincoln, Ontario. The Niagara Regional Police have identified 27-year-old Manpreet Singh, also of Indian origin and a resident of Brampton, as the main suspect in her murder. Authorities have confirmed that the killing appeared to be targeted and posed no ongoing threat to public safety.

According to police reports, Manpreet Singh fled Canada shortly after Amanpreet’s body was discovered on October 21. A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued against him for second-degree murder. Investigators have released Singh’s photo, urging the public not to approach him and to immediately contact 911 if spotted. Sources indicate that Singh has fled to India, prompting Canadian authorities to reach out to Indian agencies for assistance in his arrest and extradition.

Amanpreet Saini, originally from Sangrur district in Punjab, had been living in Toronto for several years before her death. The incident has sparked outrage and concern among the South Asian community in Canada, which has seen a rise in violent crimes involving Indian-origin individuals. Both Canadian and Indian authorities are now collaborating closely to ensure justice for Amanpreet and bring the suspect back to face trial.
