Day 10 – October 1, 2025 (Wednesday)

  • Decoration(Alankaram): Sri Raja Rajeswari Devi
  • Sacred Offering: Sweet boondi and lemon rice
  • Colour: Peacock Green
  • Significance: The goddess in her majestic royal form blessing devotees.

Day 11 – October 2, 2025 (Thursday – Vijayadashami)

  • Decoration(Alankaram): Sri Aparajitha Devi
  • Sacred Offering: Payasam, laddus, and tamarind rice
  • Colour: Sky Blue
  • Significance: Celebration of Vijaya Dashami – victory of dharma over adharma.


Pooja Significance and Rituals

  1. Ghatasthapana/Kalash Sthapana: The festival begins with installing a sacred pot filled with water, grains, coconut, and leaves, symbolizing the seat of divine energy.

  2. Daily Poojas: Devotees perform Durga aarti, chant mantras, and read scriptures like the Durga Saptashati. Some follow Sri Chakra Navavarana puja for in-depth spiritual worship.

  3. Fasting: Many observe strict dietary rules by eating only satvik food, fruits, and milk. This is believed to purify the body and soul.

  4. Decorations(Alankaram) Rituals: Dressing the goddess in different colors, sarees, ornaments, and flowers each day reflects the qualities of the goddess being invoked.
