Mikey’s Late Night Slice will reopen in Grandview Heights on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 1312 Grandview Ave. The Columbus pizza chain will offer New York-style slices, late-night service, opening-day giveaways and plans to add lunch hours as it expands across central Ohio.
Grandview Heights opening set for July 31
Mikey’s Late Night Slice will return to Grandview Heights, Ohio, with a new restaurant at 1312 Grandview Ave. The Columbus-based pizza chain is scheduled to open at 4 p.m. local time on Friday, July 31, 2026, restoring its presence in the neighborhood after a two-year absence.
The first 100 customers will receive a Grandview-exclusive T-shirt and a card for a free slice. The opening celebration will also feature music from DJ Mike, giveaways and promotional items distributed by the company’s Pizza Party Crew.
New York-style pizza and late-night hours
The restaurant will serve New York-style pizza by the slice or as a whole pie, along with breadsticks, desserts and alcoholic beverages. Mikey’s also plans to introduce lunch service, though no launch date has been announced.
Hours will run from 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant will remain open until 3 a.m., positioning the location as a late-night dining option in Grandview Heights.
Return follows earlier Grandview operation
Mikey’s previously operated in Grandview Heights from the kitchen inside Woodlands Backyard, an entertainment venue on the same street. The company left that location two years ago while focusing on its other restaurants.
Founder Mikey Sorboro said the chain had always intended to return and spent the intervening period searching for a permanent location. The new restaurant occupies a space that previously housed Homefield: Iconic Sports Bar, which opened in July 2024 and later closed.
Central Ohio expansion continues
Founded in Columbus in 2009, Mikey’s Late Night Slice now operates 10 locations across Ohio, including restaurants near Ohio State University, Easton Town Center, Dublin, the Short North, downtown Columbus, Hollywood Casino and KEMBA Live.
The chain is also expected to open a Polaris-area restaurant in 2026. The Grandview Heights reopening adds another late-night food option while extending Mikey’s footprint across the Columbus region.
