A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men who posed as policemen at a park near Kalkaji Mandir in South Delhi, according to police. The incident took place on Monday evening after the teenager visited the temple with a 17-year-old male friend. The pair later went to a nearby park, where three men aged around 25 to 30 allegedly approached them and claimed to be policemen. Police said the accused threatened the two before sexually assaulting the girl. A PCR call about the alleged assault was received around 8:45 pm, following which a police team reached the spot and began an investigation.

Police said the survivor was taken for a medical examination and further legal action was initiated based on her statement. Investigators scanned CCTV footage from the park and nearby areas to identify the accused and verify the sequence of events. Police also gathered information about people who may have been present around the park at the time. Multiple teams were formed to trace the suspects. One accused, identified as Asif, was later intercepted near DM Office Road in Amar Colony. Police alleged that he opened fire at the team and was shot in the right leg before being arrested.

The other two accused, identified as Hemant and Mukesh, were also arrested on Tuesday. Police said a case has been registered under relevant legal provisions, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The investigation is continuing as officers examine CCTV footage, witness accounts and other evidence connected to the case.

The case has also drawn attention because it comes amid several recent sexual assault cases involving minors in Delhi. The source reports that this was the fourth such case involving a minor in the capital within 10 days, adding to public concern over child safety and crimes against women.
