Babil Khan, Sai Rajesh clash over viral video & clarification
In a surprising turn of events, young Bollywood actor Babil Khan, son of the late legendary actor Irrfan Khan, finds himself at the center of a social media storm after a viral video and a public fallout with director Sai Rajesh the man helming the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit Baby. What started as an emotional moment shared by Babil turned into a highly publicized dispute, raising concerns about the fate of their film collaboration.

Recently, a video of Babil breaking down emotionally went viral on social media. In the video, Babil expressed his frustration with the functioning of the Bollywood industry. His impassioned speech called out several well-known actors and artists, including Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and even singer Arijit Singh. The tone of the video led many viewers to believe that Babil was criticizing these celebrities.

However, Babil’s PR team soon issued a clarification, stating that the actor actually admires the mentioned names and had no intention of targeting them negatively. This attempt at damage control did not sit well with many, including Sai Rajesh, who took offense at the nature of the clarification and what it implied about others involved with Babil. In a strongly worded Instagram post, Sai Rajesh questioned the sincerity of Babil’s actions. He wrote, “Do you really think we’re that naive to just walk away silently? It feels like only those whose names were mentioned in his video deserve respect and the rest of us are just fools for standing by him all this while.” He went on to demand a public apology and accused Babil’s team of manipulating sympathy.

Reacting emotionally to the post, Babil responded in the comments, expressing heartbreak and betrayal. “You really broke my heart. After everything I’ve given to you… 2 years of my life, complete physical atrocity to my body just so I can do justice to his character… I slit my wrist for him,” he wrote. His response shocked social media, not just because of its intensity but also due to the depth of personal sacrifice he claimed to have made for the film. Babil elaborated further on the extremes he went to during the film’s preparation. He claimed to have lived in unhygienic conditions and suffered physically and mentally to embody the role. “I had bugs in my beard because he needed that in the character. I gave him my laughter while I held back my tears,” he said.

The situation escalated quickly, sparking a widespread debate online about mental health, exploitation in the industry, and the blurring lines between dedication and damage. Shortly after, both Babil and Sai Rajesh deleted their respective posts from Instagram, signaling an attempt to de-escalate the situation. However, the damage appears to have been done. The emotional outburst and subsequent fallout have left fans and film industry insiders questioning the future of the Baby Hindi remake. What was once seen as a promising and ambitious project now seems clouded by personal and professional turmoil between its lead actor and director.

While neither party has issued an official statement since the deletion of their posts, the rift between them has raised serious doubts about their working relationship. Many are also concerned about the mental well-being of Babil Khan, given the rawness of his statements and the weight of emotional distress reflected in them. The entertainment world will be closely watching whether the two can reconcile for the sake of the project or if this marks the premature unraveling of what could have been a significant film collaboration. For now, the incident serves as a reminder of the fragile dynamics behind the scenes of stardom and storytelling.
