Actor Ram Charan has undergone a planned follow-up procedure for his wrist injury at Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore. According to a September 25 report, doctors removed his cast and the rods placed in his wrist during earlier treatment. He remains under medical supervision as he moves into the next stage of recovery.

The follow-up procedure was performed by Dr Praveen under the supervision of Dr Rajasekaran and Dr Sabhapathi, the report said. Ram Charan had aggravated the injury while working on Peddi and underwent surgery in Coimbatore earlier this year. Doctors subsequently advised rest, followed by a structured rehabilitation programme.

The reported recovery plan calls for around eight to ten weeks of intensive physiotherapy and rehabilitation. This stage is intended to help him regain wrist strength and movement after the cast and rods were removed. The duration is an estimate, and his progress will determine when he can safely take on filming duties again.

Ram Charan is currently expected to resume shooting after mid-November. That date is tentative: his return to a film set will depend on how well the wrist heals and whether his medical team clears him for work. No firm date for his first day back has been announced.

The injury has drawn attention from film audiences because Ram Charan aggravated it during work on Peddi. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama features Janhvi Kapoor and Jagapathi Babu alongside him. The production will have to account for the actor’s recovery before scheduling work that places strain on his wrist.

His planned reunion with director Sukumar, currently referred to as RC17, is also expected to move forward once he has recovered. For now, the immediate update is the completion of the follow-up procedure and the start of a longer rehabilitation period. Further filming plans will become clearer after doctors assess his progress.
