Dallas authorities have arrested a 22-year-old man, Jafeth Najera-Suate, in connection with a series of 14 armed robberies that took place throughout the city in 2025. Najera-Suate, who was apprehended by the Dallas Police Department, is accused of committing multiple robberies at gunpoint, primarily targeting businesses in various locations across Dallas.
The first robbery occurred on March 1, when Najera-Suate allegedly entered a business located in the 3600 block of S. Lancaster Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. Police reports indicate that he demanded money from the store staff while brandishing a firearm. Following this incident, further investigation by Dallas law enforcement connected him to 13 additional robberies that spanned across January, February, and March of 2025. He is believed to have committed seven robberies in January, five in February, and two in March.
After an extensive investigation, Najera-Suate was arrested and taken into custody at Dallas County Jail, where he now faces multiple charges in connection with his crimes. His arrest is part of a broader effort by the Dallas Police Department to combat a rise in business robberies, which prompted the formation of the Serial Robbery Task Force in 2025.
The task force, formed in response to the surge in robbery offenses during 2024, has been responsible for significant progress in addressing crime across Dallas. Since its creation, the task force has investigated 24 separate cases, resulting in a total of 112 robbery offenses being cleared. Additionally, seven of these investigations have extended beyond the city limits, involving other jurisdictions. As a result of the diligent work of this specialized unit, 33 suspects have been arrested, and 111 felony charges have been filed.
Dallas Police Major Bobbie Epperson praised the efforts of the task force, highlighting the dedication of the detectives involved in the investigations. "Because of the countless hours this extraordinary group of detectives has dedicated to the pursuit of justice, the Dallas Police Department has been able to apprehend some of the individuals who have wreaked havoc in our city, making it a safer place," Major Epperson stated. She continued, emphasizing the department’s ongoing commitment to reducing crime in Dallas. "We remain steadfast in our vigilance and unwavering in our commitment to achieving measurable progress in reducing crime in our great city."
Najera-Suate’s arrest marks a major milestone in the city’s fight against crime, as it not only addresses a specific series of robberies but also represents the effectiveness of the specialized task force in tackling serial criminal activity. The work of the task force has resulted in a substantial number of arrests and is helping to create a safer environment for residents and business owners across Dallas.
As investigations into this case continue, the Dallas Police Department is expected to pursue additional leads that could further link Najera-Suate to other criminal activities within the city. The department remains focused on dismantling organized crime rings and ensuring that those responsible for terrorizing the community face justice.
In conclusion, the arrest of Jafeth Najera-Suate serves as a testament to the diligent efforts of the Dallas Police Department and its specialized units. The Serial Robbery Task Force’s success in clearing a large number of cases and making arrests sends a strong message to criminals that law enforcement is committed to reducing crime and ensuring public safety.
