Kavitha Explosive Claim: BRS May Merge With BJP

Kavitha, the younger daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), has set off a storm in the political sphere with her recent comments suggesting that there is an active plan to merge the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Her explosive statements have taken many by surprise and sparked wide speculation about the future of BRS and the internal challenges the party is facing.

Speaking out for the first time in weeks, Kavitha claimed that she was approached with the idea of handing over BRS to BJP while she was still in jail. She said she strongly opposed it at the time and continues to resist the alleged plan. "I feel BRS will be given to BJP. This proposal came to me when I was in jail. I opposed it," she declared. She warned that such a move would deeply affect lakhs of loyal party workers and that she is even ready to stay in jail for a year if it means stopping the party from being handed over to the BJP.

Kavitha accused unnamed leaders of acting as covert agents within the party, weakening it from the inside. She questioned why the party appears so weak now and asked if BJP sympathizers have infiltrated its ranks. Referring to BJP leaders having their hospital inaugurations done by BRS members, she implied suspicious cross-party collaboration. She also criticized the lack of a proper strategy to protect KCR if legal action were initiated against him.

She went on to express her disappointment over being targeted by sections of the media and social platforms. “Some paid artists and paid social media is talking about me. The daughter of the party is being targeted but the party is not talking,” she said, emphasizing that internal betrayal is more dangerous than external threats.

Amidst this ongoing crisis within the party, political observers are closely watching Kavitha’s next move. Her public dissent from the leadership and outright opposition to a BJP merger have led to whispers about her possibly floating a new political outfit. If true, this could bring major changes to the political map of Telangana, especially with BRS appearing divided from within. For now, her comments have intensified the political drama and raised serious questions about the direction BRS is headed.
