Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar has recently raised awareness about a fake social media account impersonating her husband, director Sundar C, who recently made his political debut. This came after BJP state president Nainar Nagendran tagged the unverified account of Sundar C in a post, prompting Khushbu to clarify the situation. She immediately warned her followers by sharing the photo on her own X handle, making it clear that Sundar C does not have an official social media presence as of now.

Khushbu urged her followers not to engage with the fake account or any similar accounts, assuring that an official verified account with a blue tick would be created soon. This warning was issued just days after Sundar C’s formal entry into politics, adding significance to the need for an official and authentic social media platform for the newly announced political candidate.

Sundar C, who has been a prominent figure in the Tamil film industry for over three decades, is entering politics and will contest the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections. He is the official candidate for the Madurai Central constituency, representing the Puthiya Neethi Katchi (PNK) party, which is part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Sundar will contest under the AIADMK's two-leaves symbol, and has already met with Nainar Nagendran to discuss election strategies.

Sundar C's most recent film was Gangers (2025), and he is currently working on his next project, Purushan, starring Vishal. He is also collaborating with filmmaker Dhorai VZ for a new horror-thriller project, which will be their third partnership after Iruttu (2019) and Thalainagaram 2 (2023).
