JoJo’s ShakeBAR is bringing its oversized Biggie Shakes to Michael’s Grill & Salad Bar in Highland Park, Illinois, for a limited-time collaboration beginning Thursday, September 17, 2026.
The pop-up will operate at Michael’s location at 1879 2nd St. and is scheduled to continue through Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Opening time on the first day is set for 4 p.m.
Highland Park pop-up pairs two nostalgia-driven brands
The collaboration brings together two businesses with different takes on nostalgia. JoJo’s ShakeBAR is known for candy-topped milkshakes, colorful desserts and a retro style inspired by American diners and counters from the 1980s and 1990s.
Michael’s Grill & Salad Bar has served generations of North Shore families for nearly five decades. The restaurant is known locally for casual meals, family gatherings and celebrations, with a menu that includes salads, baked potatoes, hot dogs and wraps.
Biggie Shakes headline the limited menu
The Highland Park pop-up will feature three Biggie Shakes, along with more traditional milkshakes and other shake-bar offerings.
Chocolate Nirvana and The Wonder Years are established JoJo’s creations. A third drink, the Birthday shake, will be exclusive to the Highland Park collaboration and will feature a cake-batter flavor.
JoJo’s and Michael’s combine their signature styles
JoJo’s co-founder Robbie Schloss said the collaboration was designed to combine Michael’s long-standing community role with JoJo’s larger-than-life dessert style.
The temporary setup brings JoJo’s signature shakes directly to Michael’s Highland Park counter while adding a limited dessert offering to the restaurant’s existing menu.
Pop-up scheduled through September 30
The collaboration is currently scheduled to continue through September 30, 2026, giving Highland Park and North Shore customers a limited window to try the featured Biggie Shakes. The Birthday shake will remain exclusive to this pop-up during the scheduled run.
