Brooklyn Raines intercepted a misplaced Tigres pass and set up Ondřej Lingr, who finished cleanly at the near post to level the score at 1-1 and temporarily shift momentum toward the home team.
The turning point came in the 63rd minute when a misplayed pass from Bond was picked off by Diego Lainez, who capitalized with a strong left-footed finish. Just seven minutes later, another defensive error from Dynamo this time a weak back pass from Artur led to a second goal from Correa, who beat Bond one-on-one. Jonathan Ozziel Herrera sealed the match in the final minutes with a fourth goal for Tigres.
Houston Dynamo FC will now look to regroup as they prepare for two more group-stage matches in the Leagues Cup. They will host Mazatlán F.C. on Friday, August 1, and C.F.
