The attack, carried out by Pakistan-backed militants, targeted tourists and deeply shook the nation. In response, India carried out precision airstrikes on multiple terror hubs in Pakistan and PoK, including areas like Muridke, Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad all known for harboring terror groups.
