Miss World Contestants Visit Telangana Secretariat

As part of the ongoing 72nd Miss World Festival, 107 international contestants visited the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat on May 18, marking a spectacular day of cultural celebration and technological brilliance in Hyderabad.

The visit began with a tribute at the Telangana Thalli statue, symbolizing the identity, pride, and aspirations of the state. The contestants were warmly welcomed on the Secretariat’s central lawn, where they were treated to an authentic Hyderabadi tea menu, representing Telangana’s rich hospitality and culinary tradition. A stirring rendition of the Telangana Anthem followed, leading into a stunning 3D projection mapping show. The show illuminated the Secretariat’s majestic facade with a visual journey depicting the state’s formation, progress, and its rise as a tech-savvy and development-driven region.

  • Viewing gallery: Allowed seamless access to the entire showcase, designed with comfort and experience in mind.

  • Indian National Anthem finale: Concluded the event on a powerful note of unity and national pride.

Julia Morley, CBE, Chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organization, praised the event, saying:
"Telangana has beautifully showcased its heritage and progressive spirit today. The integration of cultural elements with technological innovation provides our contestants with a profound understanding of the state's identity and aspirations."

This visit is part of a broader engagement initiative organized by the Telangana government during the Miss World Festival, running from May 7 to May 31, 2025. The state aims to project its excellence in cultural heritage, public safety, tourism infrastructure, and its emergence as a global destination. From tradition to transformation, Telangana used this opportunity to present itself as a land of progressive governance, inclusive heritage, and global vision a message that resonated with the international guests.
