Global star Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Konidela, known for their love for animals, made their daughter’s second birthday one to remember not with grandeur, but with a heartwarming gesture rooted in compassion. As a special birthday surprise, the Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad named a young tigress after their daughter, Klin Kaara Konidela.
Charan revealed the touching story on social media, sharing how a tigress born during their zoo visit last year has now been named "Klin Kaara." He described the emotional moment when his daughter met her namesake for the first time, calling it “magical.” In his heartfelt message, Charan added, “While we personally believe that wildlife belongs in the wild, we hope to support efforts that ensure animals in captivity live with dignity, care, and love. Klin Kaara is growing up learning the value of empathy and respect for all living beings.”
Upasana, too, posted a photo of herself and Klin Kaara with a rare white cub from the zoo, celebrating the unique bond between her daughter and the tigress. She echoed the couple’s respect for wildlife and thanked the zoo authorities for the meaningful tribute.
This tender gesture from the Konidela family reflects not just their personal values but also aims to instill a deeper awareness and compassion for animals in their daughter from a young age. On the work front, Ram Charan is currently busy filming his upcoming rustic sports drama Peddi, which is being shot in Hyderabad.
