Renowned filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has shared his candid opinion on the recent controversy involving actress Deepika Padukone and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga regarding the debate over fixed working hours in the film industry. RGV remarked that the issue has been unnecessarily exaggerated by the media. He emphasized that decisions about work schedules are purely a personal agreement between an actor and a director, and that such matters should not be sensationalized.
Varma further clarified that in a professional setting, both parties have the right to express their preferences—whether it's choosing to work for extended hours or setting strict limits. He firmly stated, “How can one human being force another human being to do something?” stressing that collaboration is based on mutual consent. According to him, the whole debate has been blown out of proportion, overshadowing the more important aspects of artistic and professional collaboration in Bollywood.
