Dublin, California — The City of Dublin is inviting residents to attend two public Zoom meetings to learn more about the proposed Sunflower Hill at Grace Pointe, a 60-unit affordable housing project designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The development, a partnership between Sunflower Hill and Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA), aims to provide long-term independent living opportunities while enhancing accessibility and inclusion in the Tri-Valley area.
The project will be located on a 1.9-acre parcel at the northwest corner of Brannigan Street and Dublin Boulevard within the Dublin Centre project site. Plans include a three-story apartment building with a variety of shared spaces such as a community room, makers studio and gallery, fitness area, and a central courtyard to foster social interaction and personal development. City officials noted that the application is currently under review, and the public’s feedback will be considered as part of the city’s approval process.
Public engagement meetings
To encourage community involvement, city staff will host two virtual informational sessions via Zoom. The meetings will be held Wednesday, November 12 at 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m., both covering the same details so participants only need to attend one session. During these meetings, staff will explain the development process, outline project features, and answer questions from residents.

The initiative has drawn attention from local advocacy groups and community members who view it as a meaningful step toward addressing the region’s shortage of affordable and supportive housing. Sunflower Hill has been recognized for developing communities that empower residents through skill-building programs, social activities, and a strong sense of belonging. This project represents a collaborative effort to make housing accessible to all, while aligning with Dublin’s broader goals of sustainable urban growth and inclusion.
